Ghost Note at Blue Note
Sept. 3-4. 8PM and 10:30PM. $32.33-$43.66
Ghost Note began almost by accident; drummer Robert “Sput” Searight and percussionist Nate Werth were the rhythm section of the influential Grammy-winning band Snarky Puppy, but they’d both begun doing solo shows and offhandedly suggesting that they might put a side project together. Fans were enthusiastic and so they had to follow through, forming a funk band that’s heavy on horns and full of jazzy riffing. The band Ghost Note plays a two-night run at the Blue Note, Sept. 3-4.
