Ecuadorian-American singer-songwriter Helado Negro and Mexican-American recording artist Reyna Tropical debut their collaborative project, Helado Tropical, on Soundcheck.

Helado Tropical is a collaboration between Helado Negro, the experimental pop project of Ecuadorian-American singer/songwriter Roberto Carlos Lange, and Reyna Tropical, which is the work of the Mexican-American musician Fabi Reyna. Reyna is also the founder of the groundbreaking magazine and website She Shreds, dedicated to women and nonbinary guitarists. Together Reyna and Lange have created an album full of languorous, groove-based Latin pop. The duo’s live set in our studio is today’s episode of Soundcheck, our twice weekly podcast.
