Huntertones at The Pocket Jazz Club
Nov. 3 | 7 pm / 9 pm | $30+
Huntertones started in Columbus, Ohio, playing house gigs on Hunter Street, hence the band name. They moved to Brooklyn in 2014, and trumpeter Jon Lampley soon became a familiar face as part of the house band on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Huntertones now have a new album called Transmission, full of horn-forward songs that blend jazz, funk, pop, and more. They play two sets tonight, on November 3, to celebrate, with guest singer Rachael Price from the band Lake Street Dive, at The Pocket Jazz Club.
