Mexican singer, percussionist, and DJ Pahua is coming to town to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Catch her live set on September 24 at Flushing Town Hall.

Singer, percussionist, and DJ called Pahua is from Mexico City. Born Paulina Sotomayor, she began as a mariachi singer, and then formed an electronic folk dance band called Sotomayor, which was essentially a duo with her brother. Then, Pahua moved into solo music, creating a more experimental blend of Latin folk, Afrobeat, electronic music, and the popular dance rhythm known as cumbia. With over 20 million streams to her credit, Pahua is now celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by bringing her songs to New York. She plays tonight, on September 24, at Flushing Town Hall.
