Summer’s here and the time is right for… free concerts in Central Park. The Naumburg Bandshell has been the site of free summer events since 1905, and the chamber orchestra known as The Knights have been playing there pretty regularly in recent years. On June 23, they present some new works by Lisa Bielawa and Caroline Shaw, arrangements of songs by Paul Simon and Christina Courtin, and a classic piece of American music, Samuel Barber’s Adagio For Strings.
