The Lone Bellow is a trio that got its start in New York - in Brooklyn, actually, and if you want to be really precise, at a diner that used to be on the corner of 9th Street and 8th Avenue in Park Slope. That diner’s long gone but The Lone Bellow have become a popular part of the Americana music world, making songs that use the sounds of folk, alt.country, southern gospel, and indie pop. They’ve developed a knack for tight three-part harmonies, and have recently released their sixth album, called What A Time To Be Alive. The Lone Bellow plays on July 30 at 92NY.
