Guitarist Wendy Eisenberg has a punk band, a free jazz trio, an art rock group, and is part of a contemporary classical ensemble. Left to their own devices, though, Eisenberg writes and sings songs about the passage of time and memory, stretching the boundaries of the song form, inviting, even daring, you to think of them as folky singer/songwriter tunes and then subverting everything you’d expect to hear from that sort of music.
